Packed my Lunch

Yes...  I packed my lunch all week, and it is almost my weekend now, I have the same 15 dollars in my wallet that I have had all week.  It is a great feeling.  Today I made angel hair pasta (American Beauty on sale for .69 a package) I boiled the noodles and added a can of diced Italian style tomatoes along with a jar of spaghetti sauce, (got all these at the canned food sale last fall) I then grated some cheddar cheese and threw that on top.  It was totally delicious.  I also brought a granola bar, a container of yogurt and an orange.  Talk about a perfect lunch.  I didn't plan this but it looks like I had a vegetarian lunch today, and the very best part is that it was delicious and I still have my 15 bucks.  I am a true believer in stocking your pantry, planning ahead, and cooking at home.

Have a Fabulous & Frugal Day!!!!!

Happy New Year Start Saving Today

Well, it is official....  The new year is here.  I have decided that I am not going to make resolutions that are too hard to achieve.  I am going to continue working on my credit card debt, and socking away 10% of my paycheck in my savings account.
If you have not committed to saving.....  You really should look at the 5 bucks a week plan.  It is sooooo easy.  Just buy yourself a travelling coffee mug from Starbucks or even Goodwill, and make your own coffee or tea and take it with you.  Also if you pack your lunch, even if you only do it 3 or 4 times a week, at 5 bucks (or more) a pop.  You could actually easily be saving 15 to 20 dollars per week. I promise you it is not hard to take some leftovers out of the refrigerator or make a sandwich, and some kind of a snack. I know that it is really hard to get started saving but once you have started and see your account increase on a regular basis.  It is completely empowering.  I believe in taking baby steps, and then stepping it up a notch or two.  You can do it, I know you can.  If I can do this..... anybody can.
Have a Fabulous & Frugal New Year.
