Yes... I did it again. I managed to score 9 more books, all recently published (within the last 2 years) some even made book club status, and Oprah's reading list...ALL FOR FREE!!! I am super excited about this because Fall is upon us, and I hate Winter. Usually in the Winter I just work and read by my fire. I am such a fair weather Johnson, and Winters on the High Desert can be brutal (snow and ice) the only time I leave my house is to go to work. I am thankful I do not spend my Winters in Minnesota.......... Some day when I am old and arthritic, I will head South during Winter.

Book: A Purse of Your Own
I am currently reading "A Purse of Your Own" by Deborah Owens. It is an easy read on investing for women. This book is complete with questionnaires, quizzes, and resource guides, as well as stories from real women that have changed their lives by following Deborah's expertise. This is an excellent read, it is easy to understand especially for beginners, even with a limited budget. I started this book 2 days ago and am already 1/2 way through. Smart Women Finish Rich
Book Review // by David Bach.
This book is geared toward women of all ages, and backgrounds, the basic info is to take control of your financial future and finish rich. It is a 9 step program (which is better than the 12-step program) giving you charts and tools for spending wisely, establishing financial security, and putting your values inline with your money. Very easy and inspiring read, read this book and you will never need a money coach. I highly recommend....lots of great tips and ideas. The best thing for me about this book was getting it at St. Vincent DePaul for one dollar...and learning so much.

Book Review // Bitches on a Budget
I am reading Bitches on a Budget by Rosalyn Hoffman. Chapter one is all about shopping for clothes and maintaing the clothes that you have. Chapter one is not for the faint of heart. If you are used to shopping at Neiman Marcus, the suggestion is to shop at Target... My thoughts are why shop at Target when you can get it at Goodwill. I am apparenly of a lower class than the book is aimed at.
Chapter two is all about grooming and maintaining your appearance. Chapter 2 is very usefull information for budget grooming tips. Chapter 3 is about staying healthy and excercising on a budget. The basic idea is to not pay gym membership fees, quit watching TV and get moving. Chapter 4 is home maintenance and decorating tips. My favorite tip was for de-cluttering your house (which I need to do) and for buying artwork from local artists. I am about 1/2 way through the book and I would recommend reading this book. It is funny and quirky and the information is very frugal and very good.
I am just starting on Chapter 5.... so I will finish this review when the book is finished.
