Okay... so the savings plan for payday is to put what used to be my carpayment in my savings account. I am also going to look into buying a couple of savings bonds each month.
Currently I am reading Make Money Not Excuses by Jean Chatzky.... So far it is a very good read, easy to understand. Jean is a brilliant woman. I haven't had a lot of time lately I have been busy with work, I will try to post more regularly. Have a Fabulous & Frugal day.

Feeling good about Finances
Last week, I paid off my car... I am now the proud owner of a 1998 Lexus ES300. It is in pretty good shape, I do regular maintenance and oil changes as well as tire rotations. So my hope is to drive Lucy till her wheels fall off. My plan now that I do not have a car payment is to build my savings account. I am feeling so accomplished right now.
Smart Women Finish Rich
Book Review // by David Bach.
This book is geared toward women of all ages, and backgrounds, the basic info is to take control of your financial future and finish rich. It is a 9 step program (which is better than the 12-step program) giving you charts and tools for spending wisely, establishing financial security, and putting your values inline with your money. Very easy and inspiring read, read this book and you will never need a money coach. I highly recommend....lots of great tips and ideas. The best thing for me about this book was getting it at St. Vincent DePaul for one dollar...and learning so much.

2lb any burger hamburger, elk burger, turkey burger (doesn't matter) brown this in a stock pot with onion and your favorite seasonings
2 tsp garlic powder
4 broccoli florets -chopped
4 cauliflower florets - chopped
10 baby carrots- chopped
4 baby red potatoes -chopped
simmer these ingredients with the burger for a few minutes
empty these ingredients into the stock pot juice and all
1 can diced tomatoes

1 can corn
1 can of peas
simmer on low for one hour~ enjoy
this is a great way to get your 5 servings of veggies
I freeze left-overs and take them to work
serve with toasted english muffins
